Now, I know that this is a very debated issue, so I hope this doesn't get too out hand...but which do you like better, Arwen or Eowyn?
Personally, I like them both as characters. THIS post, from A Light Unto my Path explains almost exactly what I think. Also, in the books at least, Eowyn always sounds so...discontent and unhappy. It may have just been me.
So what do you think?

I like Arwen better (the Arwen from the books) because she was submissive to her father's will and she waited for Aragorn. Now, Peter Jackson turned her into a sort-of tramp in the movies. Wearing see-through dresses that went WAY low on her chest and she kissed Aragorn before they were married. That's why I say I like the Arwen in the books. :) Arwen was the perfect image of a Proverbs 31 woman! That's why I like her best. Please, don't get me wrong, I like Eowyn too, but she's a femaninst and that is NOT biblical! Woman are NOT equal to men and, biblically, they shouldn't be. Woman are to be submissive (proverbs 31) and there's nothing you can say or do that will change what the Bible says about that. :) Woman should be staying home taking care of their houses, children and husbands, not going out and working in a man's field. Woman are woman for a reason, not because they were "just born that way". You're a woman because God has plans for you, plans that involve being a WOMAN (emphases on woman)! That's why I like Arwen the best. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just stating my opinion.

Amen, Eldarwen! I TOTALLY agree with her! Eowyn's pretty, but just not what a woman should be. No offence to anyone, of course. :)
Arwen by far. Unlike Eowyn she didn't need a sword to prove that she was strong. I personally don't think that Arwen's dresses were too low cut. I think that Arwen was much more pure. I'm not so sure if I think that Eowyn is a feminist or not, I'm still thinking about that one, by I like Arwen waaaay better than Eowyn.
