I Sound Dreadful

( a wildflower from last summer)

I have a cold. A very nasty cold.

How can you be cold in the middle of July? Don't ask me! Ask my brother, who so graciously shared this contagious illness with me.

With me, whenever I get a cold I lose my voice. It did not help that I spent all afternoon yesterday instructing new archers, because that means I was saying something the whole entire time. (Things like: "Point the arrow the other way, please" and "You know, it works better if you hold the bow the other way").

So now I can barely speak, and when I do I sound completely awful.

On a lighter note, we went to a Nationals game today! It was so awesome actually seeing the players on the field instead of watching them on television (too bad Pudge Rodriguez didn't play today...he's my favorite player).

I'm sorry that this post was barely worth the clicking over. Nothing deep, profound, entertaining, or enlightening. But that's basically how my summer's been. Just a lot of relaxing until I hit my sophomore year.

Hugs & Blessings,

Izori

What on Earth is Wrong With Nyjer Morgan?

Good grief. Did you hear about what Nyjer Morgan did? (For any of you non-sportsy people, he's a baseball player on the Nationals team) He used to be my favorite player just because of his awesome attitude. Now he's called baseball's newest villain. All in the course of one week!

*Sigh*. I just can't understand it. From such a great guy to starting a brawl and throwing a baseball at a fan. Sheesh...now I have to pick a new favorite baseball player. Okay...how about Adam Dunn?

Saturdays

Well...I was going to go exercise in the basement, but I just took out my knee on a table. Man, that hurt. So, I guess I won't.

Erestor had a shut-out baseball game, 21-3. His team won. =)

I had a great soccer game on Wednesday. I played against some people from my shooting/archery club, which was interesting. My team won, 3-0.

Sigh...we're going to do a 5-K race in November called the Turkey Trot. The first two times I did it, I was 11 and 12 years old, and I was a natural runner. It's really unfair how little kids can basically sprint three miles without any training. Now I'm a good sprinter, but I can hardly jog over a mile. If I had a choice, I wouldn't do any running, but since I have to do the 5-k, I might as well train. -_-

Tree swing

Enjoying summer!
