Oops! I almost slipped up and said 'torture'! Yes, to some people running around from 1-3 PM in the blazing sun trying to get a round object into a box would be torture. But to me...it's soccer!
I don't know why it's so fascinating. But it is. It's awesome that I got hit in the stomach too. Don't worry--I wanted that to happen. Un-awesomely, it was one of the few times where I touched the ball. Oh well.
It was baking hot, and the turf heats up very quickly. In the summer season, my friend's older sister placed a thermometer on the turf and it read, oh, just about 130 degrees F. Not that bad, really. ;)
But, thankfully, this is the fall season, and by the tournament it will be a lot colder. The leaves are already starting to turn yellow and red, and the mornings are almost cold. I can't wait for the first frost! =)
One question: do you guys like me referring to my siblings using Elvish names? Would you like me to choose more...uh...normal names for them, or would that just mess you up? Please tell me!
EDIT: You're kidding!!?! I just noticed I have 71 followers! I'm so thrilled! I had no clue so many people actually liked this blog! Now if I could only get 71 comments...;)

Before I leave...
...I shall try tying up a few loose ends.
Seeing as we're leaving tomorrow, I'll be closing down the poll just after I publish this post. Sorry if you didn't get to vote. It looks like that y'all are going to be seeing a tidbit of...my NaNoWriMo Novel! (that, by the way, is in the process of being graciously edited by one of my BFFs, Catherine Morland). If 'Mystery Book!' would have been picked, you guys would be reading an excerpt from either the book that I just started, or my book that has all the fairy tales blended together into a retelling (and that will be edited by Liz' (my piano student) older sister).
Also, the poll for my blog background has expired, and it looks like that I need to change back to my old layout. Well...I got some 'editations' for you. I'm not going to change it quite yet because I have entered Olive Tree's lovely little give-away for a new background. If I don't win, I suppose I'll change it back...for a little while...
Has anyone else been watching the World Cup? You should see our TV; I decorated it with home-made banners for the U.S. Yes, most Americans may not be known for their soccer skills, but we are known for our patriotic-ness! (Er...everyone but Mr. Bow-and-apologize-for-our-existence-to-all-foreign-powers) I was shocked when we tied with England in our first game! We and Catherine Morland's family battled it out, afterward. =) I watched the North Korea vs. Brazil game today. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE soccer!
Well, I'll have to start packing soon. Have a great few days, everyone!

EDIT: Oh, I forgot! Thanks for praying about my Vitamin D deficiency! My month-long headache cleared up the day after taking my first pill (the pills are so pretty! They're like transparent emeralds), and the top of my wrists have been hardly hurting at all! Unfortunately, my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome has been acting up from forgetting to wear the braces, writing, playing the piano, and basically living.

Soccer
Guess what? Our team is the best u-15 team! Yay! We had our all-day soccer tournament today, and it was a lot of fun. It was REALLY hot, though, which is never good. I played defense mostly, but I did do a wee bit of midfield. After this, we have 1 more game to play, and if we win it we'll have been undefeated!
Unfortunately, I now have a sunburn nearly as bright as my coral-pink fingernails.
Ooooh, I DYED MY HAIR BLUE!!! Don't worry, it washed out. I love doing crazy things.
Anyway, this is just a lightning quick because I'm flat out exhausted. And we have testing tomorrow...oh, dear. We do the California achievement test, and it's all easy except for the math.

Saturdays
Well...I was going to go exercise in the basement, but I just took out my knee on a table. Man, that hurt. So, I guess I won't.
Erestor had a shut-out baseball game, 21-3. His team won. =)
I had a great soccer game on Wednesday. I played against some people from my shooting/archery club, which was interesting. My team won, 3-0.
Sigh...we're going to do a 5-K race in November called the Turkey Trot. The first two times I did it, I was 11 and 12 years old, and I was a natural runner. It's really unfair how little kids can basically sprint three miles without any training. Now I'm a good sprinter, but I can hardly jog over a mile. If I had a choice, I wouldn't do any running, but since I have to do the 5-k, I might as well train. -_-

Enjoying summer!

Soccer
First off, sorry if I make any typos. The blinds are on because my pet turtle (turntle) needs the light, and it's shining on the screen so I can't see a thing. So, all I'm doing is touchtyping. Not looking at the screen really at all.
EDIT: I actually looked at the screen again after the sun had shifted, and fixed my typos. Just for laughs, I'll put what I originally had in parenthesis after the correct word.
Anyway. We had soccer (swoccer) today (tocady), and we scrimmaged (schrimated) for a looooooooong time. An hour and a half, or two yours, or something like that. It was really cool, though. I had a pretty good game (especially because I prayed before. I find that praying not only relaxes me, but that God answers it). Anyway, it was really cool because everyone got to play at the same time. Meaning we had 25 people on the field at one time. Whenever we wanted we could walk off and get a quick water break. It was really cool. My 'team' won too.
It was really hot, though.
Uhhhhgggg. I am devoid of energy. I shall return sometime tomorrow or the next day, or the next...

*groan*
We started spring soccer season today! And I'm proud to report my first injury of the season: a bloody nose.
And it was so hot. Now I have a really big headache.
Ugh.
Don't get me wrong. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE soccer, but at the beginning of every season I have to regain my 'soccer reflexes'. I was very ball-shy today. And not very coordinated.
I think it was the coffee.

Just a quick post...
I have to do my school work, and I'm really behind on it, and because Mom, Luthien, and Galdor are picking up Great-Grandma from another state, I got to do the dishes last night, and this morning...*sigh*. Don't you LOVE dishes? They're so...non writing-friendly.
Oh, yeah, and the Redskins FINALLY won a game! Against the Broncos, I believe. All people who cheer for the Nationals (baseball) and the Redskins (American Football) are very loyal fans.
Also, the soccer tournament on Wednesday (I know, late update. Sorry!) was rained out *sniff*. BUT MY TEAM WOULD HAVE WON!! No, actually they wouldn't have. We probably would have been creamed.
So, onto math...*another sigh*.

WE WON!!!!!!!!!
Okay, it might just have been a mere soccer scrimmage. BUT WE WON!
I'm a U-15 (age 12-15) and we scrimmaged the U-19's (15-18). And we won 2-1. I played left fullback the entire time.
However, the U-19's are...good players...so I think that winning will be a rare occurrence against them. But we still won.
