Cranberry Bread
I got up at 7:oo AM today. *gasp* I know, I'm such an early riser. =) That's also the same time that Galdor (who might be called Joseph by the end of the poll on the sidebar) wakes up. Yeah. I wake up at the same time as my two year old brother.
Why did I drag myself out of bed before the crack of dawn? To bake, of course. Cranberry bread. =) For my piano & voice teacher, because I can't stand not giving people Christmas presents.
So, just as I had gotten out the bowls, Galdor comes stumping down the stairs. He sits down and watches me for a while, and then he pulls up a chair to help me.
Yeah, fat lot of help a two year old is in a kitchen! Eh, Galdor?
[he agrees with me]
The eggs went in a bit early, I must say. And he ate a good deal of my cranberries because he thought they were grapes. That kid actually liked them!
After a short spell of being banished for throwing my measuring cups, he came back in time to help me lick the bowls and spatulas clean.
Seems like in this house I get help with everything I do.
Love ya, Galdor!

A Special Birthday and the Name Guessing!
Today I would like to wish a very Happy 12th Birthday to my brother Erestor! His friend came over today, and we went out to Foster's Grill[e?]. Then we had cream puffs. =)
Now, about the name guessing!
First off, don't let me make you all feel guilty on not commenting on certain posts. I know that everyone is terrifyingly busy, including myself. I am guilty of not commenting because I don't have the time, too. =)
Okay, NOW we can go to the name guessing. Here are all the guesses so far:
1. Brandy
2. Jenny/Jenine/Jennifer
3. Carly
4. Angela (a couple of them)
5. Emma (a couple of those too, I believe)
6. Sarah
7. Nichole
No one has guessed my name so far. Noelle, Angela actually is another 'alias' (...evil laugh...) for me. My mom and dad don't let me show my name on the internet at all, not just this blog. Smart guess, though! And I love the name Angela. :o)
And I really love the names you imagine me by! Some of my favorite names are among your guesses--Nichole, Emma, Angela, Jennifer, Sarah.
Another question:
Do you want me to change the names that I have given my siblings, Erestor, Luthien, and Galdor? Someone has told me that they're kind of confusing. I would love to hear everyone's opinion!
And thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much for the comments on the last post! I love comments. =) They make my day/week/month/year/century!
Oh, and I am so sorry to foil your evil plans, igirl. *innocent smile*
And now I'm off to study for my completely wonderful, amazing, fun, Spanish test that is such a blessing to me! Adios, everyone, and a good night to all and to all a good night! Or whatever.

I Wish I Could Find My Head
I left it on the counter before I did my biology, and now I can't find it! I think someone moved it somewhere else. It's a weird feeling, not having a head. It's hard to see, for one thing. And I need to find it sometime soon because I'm going to soccer soon and I need my head to head the ball. Right?
Okay, you guys probably think my head really isn't detachable, right?
Well, if you think that, you're right. But I feel like it is sometimes.
I kind of wish I had a robot who did all my schoolwork for me and then just transferred all the information into my head.
I'm being really silly, I know. But after all that schoolwork I really need to do something fun.

BBFF =)
Best Blogging Friend Forever. I just had an awesome day with mine.
Igirl came over at around 10:45 AM today. I've known her, like, forever. =) We had so much fun. She just left--she might not even be home yet at this moment. We talked a lot about a bunch of things. A lot of deep things, actually. I enjoyed it. She's like a sister. =) Igirl and her sister are two people that I have known for so long, I don't remember life without them.
We watched the first half of Pride & Prejudice, and laughed at Mr. Darcy's every facial expressions (not every...but you know what I mean). We made delicious dairy, egg, nut free brownies that taste better then ones with dairy, eggs, and nuts. Igirl's a kindred spirit. =)
I really enjoyed our time together, igirl! Thanks so much for coming over and lightening up my day. I've been feeling really down because of my cold, but that doesn't matter much with friends. =)
Hugs & Blessings,
Izori

Our St. Patrick's Day Adventure and Announcement
OMGoodness! The Celtic Woman Concert was amazing! They all have absolutely spectacular voices! We got to hear 'Danny Boy', 'Dulamon', 'Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears', 'Galway Bay' and more! I had no IDEA Lynn could be so funny! She was absolutely HILARIOUS! Compared to Chloë, she's more reserved and quiet, but I never knew that she was a comedian! And she sang 'Dulamon', which I've always considered Mèav's song but she did an astounding job.
Oh, and you should have seen Maìrèad twirl ten times in the center of the stage really fast, and then leap really high...holding a fiddle. She's amazing.
And we also saw 'At the Ceili'. It's a very interesting song about three lassies who go find men. Surprisingly, it was one of my mom's favorite songs! ;)
All of the songs were wonderful, and all of the girls looked like they were having so much fun! Seriously, it made ME want to go up there, too. And then we got to sing along to 'Spanish Lady'.
So in short we HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!! Almost as much as the performers were! lol. No really, they looked like they were enjoying themselves sooooooooo much. That is one of the things I like about them--they enjoy performing.
Afterward, outside the famous bagpiper (I absolutely LOVE the bagpipes!) played for everyone to take pictures of and to listen to. We listened to him for a little (he played very well).
Ah, but the night couldn't be complete without a wee fiasco.
After the performance (it ended at ten at night, but it went over, I believe) Mom and Luthien and I walked all the way from where they were doing it to the parking garage. Luthien was really sleepy, and I was feeling kind of tired too.
So when we got to the car, we were both waiting for mom to unlock it. Mom was digging around in her purse, but she couldn't find the keys! (Yeah, we were all like, 'uh-oh...') The only place we could think of where we left them is the performance area. Yep, way up high in the seats, maybe in between two of them...the keys were black so it would take a longish time to find them.
That is, if we got there before they closed the building.
Actually we didn't. We got there right after it closed. But then the guys inside opened the doors for a lady who was also going to look for something, and Mom seized the chance to ask him real quick if we could go in and look.
"Oh, you're missing car keys?" he asked, and then described them perfectly.
"Why, yes! That's them!" Mom exclaimed as the man pulled a set of keys out of the lost-and-found box. And so after thanking him we raced out of there as fast as we could go, without asking how on earth did he find them!
It was only after we were walking back to the car (at over eleven o'clock PM) that we began to wonder how he found them. We still have never figured it out, but we probably never will.
All I can say is that it was a St. Patrick's Day Miracle.
Okay...so we've determined that St. Patrick is the saint of Ireland and car-keys. :)
And my announcement...
I have decided to take a small Easter break from blogging. I haven't had time to write anything except a script in a long while, and I would like the time to do that. I will probably come back a week after Easter. And by gone, I mean gone. I won't even check on it or moderate comments (although still feel very free to comment!). Usually, if I don't post I'll at least look at other people's blogs, but I'm not going to do that. Also, I'm hoping to cut down on my computer time.
So, Happy Easter in advance!

My Caption Contest, and a prayer request
Well...the long awaited day has finally arrived! Happy 1st Blog Anniversary to me! Er, to the blog. Whatever.
Here are your pictures:
#1.

#2.

#3

#4

#5

Okay. Now here are your guidelines:
#1. Contest ends on March 16, 2010 at...well, 11:59 ET.
#2. Number your captions according to the picture it's supposed to go to, please. Otherwise I won't be able to tell what it's for. I could in some cases make an educated guess, but it's not guaranteed that I'll guess correctly.
#3. There are no prizes other than the satisfaction that you've won the caption contest.
#4. Out of all the captions, I will choose one overall winner.
And rules:
#1. PLEASE no swearing, taking the Lord's name in vain, cussing, or uh...interesting...captions. Basically, nothing that you wouldn't say in a church. I will delete any caption that I think violates this.
#2. Good sportsmanship is also a must.
#3. And it'd be really cool if you tried to use good punctuation/spelling/capitalization. Not necessary, but really cool.
Thanks! I'm very interested in what people have for #5!
And now for my prayer request...
I'm starting to teach piano on Tuesday. My student is someone who I've known for nearly all of their life, and who I'm pretty good friends with. As in, we goof off together all the time. Could you pray that everything goes all right? My main concern is that I won't be able to make the transition from fellow goof to piano teacher and back, and if it would change anything in our 'goofing' relationship. Thank you so much!
Izori
P.S. These pictures were taken from 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves', 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe', and 'The Princess Bride'.

Had a blast today! (and a prayer request)
So that mom could do taxes, Dad took all of us kids to Chuck E. Cheese today! We had an awesome time!! My favorite game is probably the Star Wars one, but there are some other good ones. Unfortunately, I only got to play two games because Erestor 'borrowed' my last tokens ('I'll return them! You owe me three, remember that!' 'Yeah. Whatever you say')...but minor detail!
And the prayer request...you know how I was so glad that last week's accompaniment class was postponed because of the snow because my music was at my teacher's room and I hadn't practiced at ALL? Well...it's been rescheduled to tomorrow. And when I told my teacher I had left my music there on Tuesday, we looked and couldn't find it anywhere. And she was sure I had left it too. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pray for me that I could somehow find my music, or somehow that the class would be canceled again, or SOMETHING drastic! If you did, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

HILARIOUS!!
I got this link over at Melian's blog HERE. It's a mad lib for LotR, and here is what I got.
One spring day, Frodo was singing quietly while leaning against a big Irish Tin Whistle near a road in the Shire. In the distance, he saw the faint sound of a cazoo galumphing. Who's coming up the paint brush ? He wondered. As the galumphing came closer, Frodo could hear the clicking of horse tail and the hilarious sounds of a bagel moving up the road. A deep shy voice rose above the clatter: The roller blades goes ever on and on. Down through the ceiling where it began... the raspy voice rang. Sauroman! Frodo cried. He quickly jumped up and flipped towards the paint brush to greet the famous opera singer.
HERE's the site.

Not just a sample, but a whole entire book, of my writing, and another prayer request.
Long title. Sorry.
Anyway, it's a whole book (rather, story) of my writing...
...when I was about seven or eight years old!
hehe. Bet I fooled you there--'Izori's going to post a WHOLE story?!' It' really short.
And guess what. It's with original spelling and punctuation! The only thing I did was split it into paragraphs because it's easier to read that way.
'Patrick the Diver'
Once upon a time, there was a deep sea diver. His name was Patrick. One day, he decided to go diving. So he got his gear, put it in his car, and with a varoom-rooom took off.
Soon enough, Patrick came to the beach. Then he got in his boat with all his gear, and sailed out to the middle of the ocean and got his gear on. He gently lowered himself into the water.
The watter was pretty! On the out-side it shone and gleamed. Inside, well, there were dolfins, whale's, sharks, fish, crabs, clams, conks, and corral. An octopus floated by, with a crab in one of its long arms. Patrick pulled out an under-water-camera and snapped pictures. Then he took notes on a water-proof note pad. He saw a sea-horse clinging to a blade of seaweed. He took a picture of that too.
Out of the corner of his eye, Patrick saw a cave. He swam slowly inside. It was dark, so Patrick turned on his underwater flash-light. He shivered. The cave was very, very spooky!
Soon he came back out of the cave. Then he looked at his air pressure. He had fifteen minutes to get out of the water. Then he saw a great white [shark], at a distance. Patrick decided it was high time to get out of the water. so he swam slowly up, got on board his boat got off his gear, and went home.
The End.
Can you believe that?! How cute ;)
Luthien found it who-knows-where and gave it back to me. LOL. Could use some work...
Oh, and the prayer request. My other wrist has started to hurt. Badly. And it feels a lot like carpal tunnel syndrome. So please pray that it isn't!!!
Thanks,
Izori

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY! IT'S SNOWING! OVER 20 INCHES, AND IT'S NOT GOING TO MELT FOR A WHILE!!!!!
Can you tell I'm excited?!? You should have seen me yesterday!
Anyway, I played outside in the snow a LOT today, even though it's dry and powdery and not much for sledding. And it's SO deep! You could fall backward off of my friend's fence and not feel a thing. And I really need to finish up Erestor's present, so goodbye!

Erestor's Birthday Party and Snow!
Sorry to be posting a lot today--the Writers Block post was scheduled, and then of course today's events are very 'post-able'.
So...today was Erestor's 11th Birthday Party! We had it at Shadowland and played laser tag. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!!! I was the only girl there--second oldest, and second tallest--and I did pretty good, even if I say so myself. I got rank 9 for the first game, and rank 4 for the second and last. It was so fun that I even requested (to Dad) that I have my 16th birthday there. :)
Anyway, it was really fun, but it would have been even funner if everyone followed the rules. Oh, don't worry, everyone in OUR group acted real politely ('Um, sir? Do you mind if I shoot you? Yes? Oh, I'm sorry!' jk, lol), but we were paired with a group that...uh...didn't. But I shalnt dwell over it.
And SNOW!!!! It's supposed to snow between 14-20" here! That is SO rare for where we are? What happened to global warming? :) Maybe we'll get a white CHRISTmas!
