Today...

...is the birthday of someone I am particularly close to.

No one is entirely sure of what time she was born. "Sometime between lunch and dinner," her dad says. (good grief--he can remember the number, cost, and kind of pizza that he ordered to celebrate, but he can't remember when his eldest daughter was born).

Eyewitnesses later recounted that she was born with one arm paralyzed. Her grandma remembers being careful not to bump the gazillion tubes sticking into her granddaughters arm when she held her for the first time.

She has spent the majority of her life on the thin line between country and suburb, and she thinks she likes the country better.

She's not particularly gifted, not particularly beautiful, and not always particularly nice, but she's a daughter of God and so she's a princess.

Over two years ago, she started this blog.

P.S. So, apparently the world's supposed to end tomorrow. To be frank, I really take the Bible seriously when it says that no one knows when Jesus will come back. That's why we always have to be ready, because we'll never know until He's here. Maybe it will end Saturday, maybe it won't. Whatever happens, it'll be because God willed it and not because we predicted it. But I must say, if it does, then it'll be perfect timing! I always wanted to at least make it to 15! =)

Today's a holiday...

...because, at 5:30-ish today, I turn 14!!! I'm really excited, especially because I'm on the very verge of finishing editing my NaNoWriMo novel! So if I get that done before early evening, I can say that I have completely written a novel when I was 13.

Thanks, everyone, for you great comments! I woke up feeling great today, and just in time! Dad took me out to Caribou Coffee. The only thing wrong with me is that my neck hurts from falling asleep on the couch yesterday. =)

Erestor's Birthday Party and Snow!

Sorry to be posting a lot today--the Writers Block post was scheduled, and then of course today's events are very 'post-able'.

So...today was Erestor's 11th Birthday Party! We had it at Shadowland and played laser tag. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!!! I was the only girl there--second oldest, and second tallest--and I did pretty good, even if I say so myself. I got rank 9 for the first game, and rank 4 for the second and last. It was so fun that I even requested (to Dad) that I have my 16th birthday there. :)

Anyway, it was really fun, but it would have been even funner if everyone followed the rules. Oh, don't worry, everyone in OUR group acted real politely ('Um, sir? Do you mind if I shoot you? Yes? Oh, I'm sorry!' jk, lol), but we were paired with a group that...uh...didn't. But I shalnt dwell over it.

And SNOW!!!! It's supposed to snow between 14-20" here! That is SO rare for where we are? What happened to global warming? :) Maybe we'll get a white CHRISTmas!

Just a quick post--but Happy 11th Birthday to ya, Erestor! (Did you think he was older than 11? Well, he kind of seems that way sometimes. We do a lot together) Even though he doesn't know it yet, Dad's going to take him to Caribou Coffee for breakfast!
