Lazy Summer Days =)

I wish I had something interesting or amusing to post, but I really do not. Nothing has been that interesting around here.

I really should be doing algebra right now. But honestly, who can do schoolwork when it's almost summer?! I've been so lazy I haven't even been writing in my books.

This has really been more of an update to let you all know that I haven't forgotten you.

To see more interesting things, here are two other blogs that I post on: Traveling Tales and Anecdote. Go check them out!

Happy Birthday!

I would like to wish a very happy birthday to my friend iGirl!

(and, of course, I need to sing her happy birthday)

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear iGirl,
Happy birthday to you!

(sorry for the extremely short post: I am really pressed for time today. But not pressed enough to wish iGirl a happy birthday. =)

Blessings,

Izori

Yeah, I know...again

I'm going to take another break. Not from blogging--from this blog. Not that I've been posting on here extremely often, but I've made some other commitments to post on other blogs, and I'm starting to neglect them. So for the next, oh, week or so I'll be concentrating on the other blogs.

On a lighter note, I'm beginning to recover from a recent bout of writer's block. Just in time for a fight with carpal tunnel syndrome and another cold. (I'm beginning to lose count of the amount of colds as I'm buried under a barrage of used tissues. Disgusting) Perfect timing, but whatever.
I shall return!

Hugs & Blessings,

Izori

P.S. Here are the other blogs! Check them out, comment, follow...the usual...be a lone ray of sunlight in my shadowy world of biology and algebra and X and Y and Gandhi and preterite tense verbs...I should make a song about that...

...FOLLOWERS!

That's right! Please, check out Traveling Tales by clicking HERE! It's just getting started, but igirl and I are hoping to make it a great blog. =)

Coffee-Beef Soup

Yep. That was our dinner. Coffee and beef soup. Much compliments to the chef, my two year old brother Galdor. Mom was making the soup in our crock pot when he flung in her cup of coffee.

Well, I'm a big fan of coffee. We'll just see the effects of the caffeine on the younger kids later...at right around bedtime.

The main reason I posted was to draw your attention to a lovely blog called idream. It's by one of my BFFs in real live, igirl, and she's looking for some more followers for her blog's birthday! Go and follow her! I command it. Just kiddin'. I'd appreciate it though. =)

Many Things

I see from the poll that a lot of you want me to post more on my writing. That's good, because it's one of my favorite subjects! =) Another good thing is that those kinds of posts are schedule-able.

I'm EXTREMELY busy with school work...and I've only started history/literature/government (which is from Tapestry of Grace). That means that when I throw algebra, music, biology, vocabulary, Latin, Spanish, and speech, I'll be one busy person. You might not hear very often from me.

However, I'll make sure to schedule posts.

Right now, I would like to turn everyone's attention to Kendra's Hunt! Click HERE to visit her blog, Carpe Diem, and learn more about it. It looks so, so cool. It's an actual scavenger hunt, stretching across several blogs.

See you all soon!

Count Your Blessings! (100 Blessings)

Go check out Olive Tree's fantastic idea!

1. I have been saved by faith, through grace, and I am made in God's image!
2. I just took my last Vitamin D pill, and it appears to have fixed my health problems! Praise God! =)
3. Good doctors who spotted my ailments in time to put a screeching halt to them.
4. A super family.
5. Blessings to count!
6. Tolerable health
7. Protection from snakes
8. Never a broken bone!
9. Naturally thick hair
10. A great-grandmother
11. Edifying, uplifting friends
12. Music
13. Talents
14. A voice to praise God with
15. Good food
16. The use of my arm
17. My angel sibling (even though that's covered in 'A super family')
18. A good camera
19. That we are able to witness to a neighbor
20. That there's forgiveness
21. My dad's recovery from cancer
22. Prayer
23. An imagination
24. VBS (Vacation Bible School)
25. My job as a piano teacher.

Those were my first twenty five for this week. What a cool idea, Olive Tree!

By the way, would you guys please pray for VBS? There are several kids in particular you could pray about. Two or three have really bad food allergies, so if everyone could pray that none of them has a reaction, that would be great. Also, there are some kids who are not Christians, so praying that their classmates and teachers (and food staff!) can reach out and witness to them.

Oh, one more prayer request! Our movie is starting to slide downhill. We are all seriously stuck for ideas, and we're not entirely convinced it's the best use of our time. Please pray that we can make a final decision about it.

Thank you! Seriously, it would take such a load off my mind if you guys prayed.

Please Pray for Emily

There's someone you should meet. She's a fairly new blogger, and a Christian. Her name is Emily, and she has leukemia.

I thought I had reasons to complain. Month long headaches, CTS...but certainly not cancer. As I was reading Emily's blog, I was swept away by her uncomplaining, optimistic attitude. This sister in Christ has become one of my newest inspirations.

Everyone, please drop by Emily's blog. You can click on the 'Please Pray for Emily' button at the top of my sidebar to get there. Please take just a minute to encourage Emily in her battle with leukemia. I'm sure she'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Guess What!

Remember Cornet Crazie's really cool writing contest? Well...I WON! I'm absolutely thrilled! I thought for sure that everyone else would beat me.

I'll post my story later, but I'm very busy. We're doing a room switch, and I'm spray-painting an old chair, and preparing to transform my room from goldfish yellow to stone brown.

Hi, everyone! Glad to say that my writer's block is miraculously over! No kidding, miraculously. I guess I must have had thinking block too, because guess what! I completely forgot to pray about it. Now I feel so inspired, I'm even working on my friend's script some! =) I'm sure she'll be glad to know that...

Anyway, the Cornet Crazie is having an awesome writing contest over at her blog, Treble Clef! Go and check it out! I'm planning on entering, and I'm actually very happy with my story.

Kindly Read This Post

Sigh...I've been kinda out of it lately.

Our printer is broken.

We have a big soccer game today.

What? Soccer game? SOCCER GAME!?!

I'm awake. Lol.

Anyway, the main purpose of this post was to draw you to a project I have just started on my other blog. That project is called...Operation Prayer! Please visit it; all you have to do is pray.

And an announcement...I think I will go half off. I've just had a sudden burst of things to do, and even though I'm still going to be on Blogger, you might not see much of me. Still, feel absolutely free to comment! I have some posts on writing/reading coming up!

My Bible, or a picture of my late cat.

It depends.

6) Do you ever make up words?
Yes.

I'm very curious

My Opinion on 'Avatar'

No, I haven't seen it, but I have formed my own opinion of it. I've seen pictures and ads for it, and I think I would have to agree the most with Doug Phillips. Go HERE to read a very interesting post by him on this movie.

Photography Blog

I am SO sore...yesterday I ran a 5K (about 3 miles) race...without any training except for a tiny bit! I didn't make good timing, but I did see a lot of people I knew!

The main reason I'm posting on a Sunday is to tell you all (who are, for the most part, writers like myself) (hey, did you notice--myself? ;) that Andrea and I took several pictures on the subject of writing! Click HERE to see them!

Also, I might as well put my NaNo update in this post and accomplish two things...I'm doing pretty good! Much better than I thought I would, at least. I've managed to get somewhat ahead, which was good because today I hardly wrote much at all :) And today we have the week off...so writing, here I COME!!!
