Today I would like to wish a very Happy 12th Birthday to my brother Erestor! His friend came over today, and we went out to Foster's Grill[e?]. Then we had cream puffs. =)
Now, about the name guessing!
First off, don't let me make you all feel guilty on not commenting on certain posts. I know that everyone is terrifyingly busy, including myself. I am guilty of not commenting because I don't have the time, too. =)
Okay, NOW we can go to the name guessing. Here are all the guesses so far:

No one has guessed my name so far. Noelle, Angela actually is another 'alias' (...evil laugh...) for me. My mom and dad don't let me show my name on the internet at all, not just this blog. Smart guess, though! And I love the name Angela. :o)
And I really love the names you imagine me by! Some of my favorite names are among your guesses--Nichole, Emma, Angela, Jennifer, Sarah.
Another question:
Do you want me to change the names that I have given my siblings, Erestor, Luthien, and Galdor? Someone has told me that they're kind of confusing. I would love to hear everyone's opinion!

Pseudonyms
{also known as aliases and pen-names}
Reasons to publish a book under a pseudonym:
1. If your books become really famous, you can say your real name without having to fear screaming fans requesting autographs. =)
2. You don't have to deal with people befriending you just because they know you're famous.
3. If someone is mad at you for publishing a book (say it has something controversial in it) they can't track you down as easily. Okay...creepy.
4. It gives you more privacy in general.
5. You can use the name you've always wanted to be called. =)
Two famous books that were published by people under pseudonyms are Alice in Wonderland (author's pen-name was Lewis Carrol) and Animal Farm (the author went by George Orwell)
I think I will publish under a pseudonym. I was toying with the idea for a bit, but now I decided I will. But I'm absolutely stumped as to what my pseudonym will be.
What do you guys think should be my real name?
(igirl, I know that you know my real name, so just think what you would have named me) =)
Actually, what would be really interesting to know is what do you picture me to look like. =)
Just throw out ideas that you guys think would suit my personality. I would really appreciate it!

A Wee Dilemma...
Can you guys help me out with something?
Okay. So, I just had this really cool idea for a book. I won't tell you all much, but it's about books, three sisters and gates. The sisters are ages 18, 15, and 11.
Now here's my problem. I have names for the two older girls--Autumn and October. I'm hoping for a fall-ish theme. =) But I'm stuck between the names 'Thanksgiving' and 'Harvest'.
What do you guys thing? Thanksgiving? Harvest? Keep in mind that they're for an eleven year old girl.
And do you all think that October sounds too much like a boy's name? I actually like it, but what picture does it give you?

Today and tomorrow, we're babysitting for a friend. The babysit-ee is a wee lassie named...um...I'll call her Enawe. She's around 3 yrs. old, I think, and she is SO CUTE!! Her voice actually sounds like Smeagol's. Don't worry, only a tiny bit, and she's ADORABLE!!!! Much prettier than Gollum, too.
Anyhow, I'm supposed to be doing my Spanish. So I should probably end this post.
Oh, and do you like the name Enawe? It's based off of mine, actually. Galdor calls me Nwee, and I just made it slightly more dignified sounding. I really like it.

Never mind about the fish getting along...
*sigh* Don't you fish know that it's close to Christmas? That means you're supposed to BEHAVE, but no, instead you start attacking each other! No Christmas presents for you, young ladies!
Yep, our betta fish fight. So now they're separated. And I've also at least decided which one is mine. You see, one fish is white/ice pink, and the other is black. I thought both of them looked pretty cool, so I wasn't sure which one was mine. But now I've picked the black.
If only I had a really cool name for her...any suggestions, anyone?

Names
Rin requested that I do another post on thinking up names a few days ago. I've done a couple of posts on this a few months earlier, and you can click on this and this to read them. And now here are a few other tips.
1). Think of syllables and sounds that are interesting. I like Z and TH, EO, and LEI. Then form names from those, like Theolith or Zeliar.
2). This one works a lot for me: just sit and doodle. Write down random letters, and then rearrange them.
3). Be observant. You know where I got the name 'Izori' from? Some of my shirts have a tag on them that says 'Izod'. Just take out the 'd' and add a 'zi' and there's my name! I got it from that. And sometimes there are regular names that sound pretty good. Like Oen, or Mhegan.
When you've thought up some names, I would suggest keeping them in a small notebook. That way if you're writing a story and need a name for a character, you don't have to try and remember a name that you thought up a month ago, thought it was great, but didn't write it down. You'll just simply flip open the notebook and find a good name. I do this, and I probably have close to 400 names in it.

Guns, Archery, and Stuff
Just got back from shooting guns tonight. I do that, and archery, through a local 4-H club called Trigger Time (I know, it's not the best name, but it's actually much less juvenile than it sounds :). If you ask me (don't bother, I'll just tell you anyway) I'd say I prefer archery. I'm one of the people who keeps on hoping that someday they'll find a way to get into this fantasy world, and what would be more useful then, gun-shooting, or archery? And archery's just so more...cooler. The guns make that 'bang' sound and they're really not that great for stealth missions. And I'd much prefer to wear an arm-guard, finger-tab, and quiver then a set of glasses. That get all foggy when it's hot out.

Sibling Names
My siblings, especially my oldest brother, might be mentioned in my blog sometimes. So I'm going to give them code names: names that I made up and have in all my various books.
So, my oldest brother is going to be...hmmm, I guess I'll call him Sir Wallace. A crazy old knight, a little bit like Don Quixote (if I spelled that correctly. Don't worry, I'm famous, or shall I say infamous, for my spelling abilities :), who goes with my main character on a seemingly impossible journey in search of Camelot. I'm writing this book in my brain, but I might type it out sometime.
My sister is going to be Mathilda. I wrote a poem about a rather...unusual princess' coronation feast. I might post it sometime later.
And my last sibling will be called Tristan, one of the baby brothers of my sub-characters in Dun Zarum. Tristan is actually based on this sibling.

Pen Names
I suppose I should be writing Chapter 3 of the 2nd Elandai book...but I'm too lazy. Seeing as I haven't posted in a few days however, I should probably at least post something! So, if you ever manage to write a book and publish it, would you have a pen name? I can't decide if I would or not (not that I'm in any danger of publishing a book soon :D)

Okay, the first time I covered this I didn't get everything in. So, onto methods of thinking up names.
4) Find letter sounds that you like (like L or E) and make a name around them. Examples: Lila (I don't think that's made up though) Laela, Elera, Esreel,etc
5) If you already have an idea of what the character is like and all you need is a name, think up one that reminds you of his or her personality. If they are spunky and energetic, Ani or Cassie could be good. If they are quiet and reserved, then Sarai or Calia are suggestions. If they are an elf, then something like Elad or Chloe might do.

If you look in the Bible, there are a lot of really interesting names like Solomon, Manasseh, Naomi, Aquila, etc. You can also look at different languages, and find names from them, like Cailin (girl in Irish), or Zoro (Spanish for fox minus an r). Also modern, English names are good, like Sophia, Anna, or Lilian.
2) Scramble up words or names. Like the name Kara spelled backwards is Arak, a very good boys name.
3) say a line of random jibberish to yourself aloud and if there are any syllabyles you like in there, make it into a name. For example, Dol laia hil shrig thraki chri broai. One of my favorite syllabyles in there is Laia. (A good name for a bug is Shrig. That's the name I just gave to the beetle I found in one of my folders. LOL)
I think there are more methods, but I have to go now. Hope this helps anyone who is stuck on a name.

Random Starting Information
Hello,
I guess for my fist post on the blog I'll list off all the names that I have made up. I really like making names up when I have nothing to do. Some of them I borrowed from the Bible (Maki, Jethro Solomon), others I borrowed from the real world (Sam, Jerad, Sophia) and some I completely made up. (Like Izori :-) Here they are:
