I'm feeling...wiped out. We went to Erestor's base ball game.

Outside is...really hot and humid.

Today I...need to work on the script that I'm writing for my friends! And I would like to exercise.

I am glad that...we don't have an alpaca meeting today.

Tagged by Storyteller, the Daybook and An Answer to Prayer!

Well...Presentation Day was interesting. I got a blue ribbon...and so did everyone else. In Erestor's group, he got a blue ribbon...and so did everyone else. I thought that was cheap. In my group, at least, there were two girl who really deserved a first place. They were very good. And then there was me and two others who were okay. And then there was one girl whose presentation wasn't quite as...well...she was young for this age group.


And now for the archery contest...

It went very well! I had the best archery score I have ever had. Well above 200 for 30 ends (sp?). Kind of low key, very fun, and the best part...I won nothing lower than first! I got first in the female short-range recurve division, and then I won first in green-award, short-range, recurve division.

I'm feeling...relaxed. And excited.

Outside is...the sun, and all that beautiful weather!

Today I...went to IHOP for breakfast w/Mom and Dad and Luthien and Galdor, so we could get Erestor back from our grandparents because he went down with grandpa to get great-grandma to bring her to their house so that she can come to our house for a week before she'll be going back to their house to go back to where she lives. Confusing? You betcha. And we did other stuff. Like, remember last summer when we were planning on moving, but we never did? Well, I just found a box chuck-full of my stuff that I had never unpacked from then! Lol.

I am hearing...clicking computer keys.

I am hoping...that I'll focus more on Jesus and less on candy tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to...Easter! Up from the grave he arose (he arose), with a mighty triumph o'er his foes (o'er his foes)! Lol. That was me singing.

I am glad that...Jesus arose!

What I'm currently working on writing-wise...nuthin.

What I just finished reading...'Journey to Freedom' by Gilbert Morris. Blech. Horribly written, although it had pretty good morals.

Writer's Daybook and a monologue on comments

My goodness, this week was hectic! Teaching for the first time, posting SOOO many times, schoolwork, trying to get outside and enjoy the lovely weather before it vanished into today...today was supposed to be the day when I posted the story about a dignified dragon, a prince who thinks he's a kangaroo, a crazy sea captain, and a modern girl. However, I'm nowhere near done with it and it's turning out to be rather long. For some odd reason I can't write short stories anymore! It's really frustrating. So I might post it next week or next month.

Okay! The blog anniversary thingy is over now! Y'all can come out from where you've been hiding at! However, the Caption Contest and the Quiz don't end until the 16th (you can find both of those on my archive on my sidebar. I can't link because Blogger is acting up). I've had only one entry for both of them...combined.

Which leads me to my wee monologue.

Have I told you guys how much I LOOOOOOVE comments? Yeah, I probably have. However, I've been getting a comment-drought here (except for a few faithful friends :) . Maybe it's because I've been driving everyone away with the posts every single day for a week (lol). But I know I've been getting a decent amount of visitors from four different countries. And comments make my day. Seriously. They really do.

And the Writer's Daybook thingy...

I'm going to make this interesting. I'll have one of my favorite male characters from my book answer these questions.

*drumroll please*...Maethar!

Maethar: *from the writing room* What? Aw, come on! I was trying to sleep in!

Izori: *disappears into writing room, comes out hauling Maethar by the back of the shirt*. That's too bad, dude. *plops him into computer chair* Now TYPE!!

Maethar: What?!

Izori: TYPE!! ANSWER THE QUESTIONS!! Ahem. You have two minutes.

Maethar: Help. Please.

Oh, fine. This is me, Maethar. It's very nice to meet you all...*cough* not really *cough*.

Izori: AHEM!! Maethar, don't be rude to my blogging buddies. Or that's thirty seconds off of your two minutes. Which are going away pretty quickly.

I'm feeling...annoyed. And hauling me here by the back of my shirt kind of hurt.

Outside is...rain. Rain is...wet. Yuck. Can you sense my enthusiasm?

Today I...got hauled here by the back of my shirt. Which hurt. But maybe Izori's going to finally write me into her story again, which could make up for it. Maybe.

I am hearing...Izori's watch ticking.

I am hoping...THAT I FINISH THIS UNDER TWO MINUTES!!!!! AAAAAAHHHH!

I'm looking forward to...being done with this all.

I am glad that...my death will be short if I take too long.

My Week, Tagged by Celtic Traveler, and Daybook

All of the post's you've seen this week (except for this one) was scheduled. Not from any forethought of mine, but just because I wanted to schedule something. Well, it turned out that it was for the better!

On Monday, we had co-op and schoolwork. I began getting a really bad headache from the cedar pollen.

On Tuesday, I had piano lessons and schoolwork. I still had a headache from allergies.

On Wednesday, we did schoolwork and Mom took Luthien for a hearing test.

On Thursday, we had schoolwork, ice-skating, and then torture. Did I say torture? I meant Accompaniment Class. I was probably the most prepared of all 4 students. Yep, all four. Including me, those were the only four that came, other than the teachers, of course. :) It was actually on the fun side. However, I came away with my CTS really, really bothering me.

On Friday, I did schoolwork. My wrists were still, like, killing me, and I'm was still having allergies.

Today hasn't really begun yet, but the allergy meds that Mom bought for me are now working. Yay!

And so, add it all up and you get a loaded week!

So I'm very glad that I scheduled posts.

Today I...guess what! I get to...*drumroll, please*...go to the Alpaca 4-H club! Yay...not. Yuck and grrrrrrr. It's a waste of a beautiful day, that's what!

I am glad that...Alpaca club only lasts two hours. And that my wrists are hurting, because that might keep me from handling alpacas.

Today I...am going to perform at a nursing home. And write a scene of the script.

I'm feeling...a little overwhelmed.

Outside is...Snow. I'm sick of it now. Anyone want some snow? 'Cause it's free for the taking! Just grab it out of my front yard! jk, lol.

Today I...went to the alpaca meeting. Alpacas are so...so...unlovable. They don't even look cute. And they're so skitterish! I'm actually kind of afraid of them. Horses are so much more easy to deal with, and less frightening, and more loving, and more cute, and more fun, and less persnickety, and less...

I am hearing...silence. Blessed silence. I should make a poem about that.

I am hoping...that I'll get everything done today! I already wrote some of the script for my friends today (I'm feeling a little guilty--haven't worked on it in so long). And I'd also like to make quartet arrangements for Danny Boy. Might use them for a little singing group, but it's mainly for fun.

I'm looking forward to...when Galdor gets up from his nap. That's when I get to play the piano, because if I play it now it'll wake him up. And no one wants a cranky baby on the loose!

I am glad that...I got to sleep in today.

For that matter, what is a blog? What an interesting word...blog.





This is one of Izori's most esteemed and long-lived characters, Ehra. Let me tell you, it hasn't been easy. Did you know that Izori is...well...interesting to work with? As in, a little crazy?



Well, she is. She's had me switch roles at least three times. Once, I was a poor serf. Then I was a kind of middle-class person. Now I'm a high-end character! Will she ever make up her mind?!



Oh, yeah, and now Izori's decided that my name really is Ehrathiwel. At least that isn't as bad as poor Maki's name change...now it's Maethar! He really doesn't mind though, and even I think that Maethar suits him better.



I was listening to a horror story from Elizabeth. Izori killed her off! Of course, she--oh, right. She probably doesn't want me to tell you any spoilers. Or at least that's what she calls them.



Well, Izori is kind of pressed for time today, not to mention she's coming down with a cough, and her wrists are bothering her. (My goodness, will her ailments never end?!). She's going to be helping out in the cooking area for a Date Night in church, and she'll be attending a babyshower before that. So she asked me to do her Writer's Daybook for her. Therefore, all of these answers are mine, and not hers.

I'm feeling...confused by this newfangled laptop of Izori's!

Outside is...Maethar, Abriel, Karo, and Durain having a snowball fight.

Today I...figured out working a laptop! Thank goodness Izori taught me how to type.

I'm feeling...tired and inspired.

Outside is...SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I...went to bed at 12:30 AM and was woken up at six by Erestor asking me to please turn on the computer because he didn't know how. Because Luthien and I share a room, he also managed to wake her up. And, for all of you who know Erestor, silence is NOT his virtue. He woke up everyone except for Galdor. Then, because I couldn't get back to sleep, I eventually went downstairs and played RuneScape with him.

I am hearing...clicking keys, mom talking.

I am hoping...that I can finish my final editing on my NaNoWriMo book.

I'm looking forward to...writing!

I am glad that...my wrists have pretty much healed! And also, we got to watch the cast commentary of 'Return of the King' last night. It's hilarious!! And Billy Boyd's (sp?) accent has rubbed off on me.

Today I...got home from my grandparents. We went to their house yesterday. We had SO much fun! Watched Toy Story 2, and although I liked the first one better, Toy Story 2 was really good!

I am glad that...my wrists are feeling much better. I think these new braces (they look like mechanical arms, almost!) are working.

Now onto Sarea.

Man, am I ever making huge changes on it! Basically the whole story's going to go. I'm keeping nearly all of the characters, although I re-named Maki (now Maethar) and Ehra's real name is Ehrathiweil. I didn't know that before, but she just informed me. =)

Also, I dug some dolls out of the back of my closet. They're the adorable cloth dolls that you can buy in Williamsburg (VA), and after watching Toy Story I was wondering if they were missing me. ;)

And now I get to tell you something that I'm really elated about.

I FOUND OUT HOW TO SING !!!

Okay, y'know how when you talk, your throat vibrates? Well, when you sing, your throat isn't supposed to be vibrating. Instead, you should be singing more from your stomach. As weird as that sounds.

Anyway, I was singing with my throat vibrating, and for that reason I wasn't able to go as high or sound as clear as I thought I could. But guess what I found out!? If I imitate Meav Ni Mhaolhatha (if that's how you spell her name), my throat doesn't vibrate! Isn't that cool! So now I can sing REALLY high!!

Okay...kind of random.

I'm feeling...excited. It's a snowstorm out there!

Outside is...snowy and pretty and it looks like everything's coated with fairie-dust!

Today I...am going to play outside in the snow, and write Erestor's Christmas gift. And make more Christmas gifts for my grandparents.

I am hearing...Mom and Luthien holding some kind of conversation in the kitchen, the keyboard going clickety-click. And Galdor just brought me a can of ginger ale. And then he dropped it. Oh, now he's shaking it around! I feel really sorry for whoever's going to open that.

I am hoping...that I can get everything done, and that the neighborhood kids won't trash the sledding hill.

I'm looking forward to...I don't know.

I am glad that...we got to go to Shadowland last night, and that we don't have to go anywhere today.

What I'm currently working on writing-wise...Erestor's Christmas present. And a script.

What I just finished reading...'Out of the Wild', by Sarah Beth Durst, 'Anne of Green Gables' by L.M. Montgomery (I think), and 'The Hobbit' by J.R.R. Tolkien.

What I'm hoping to read...'Tomorrow's Magic', by someone who I can't remember. Dad's looking it over for me to read, because we aren't sure how great of a book it'll be.

Writing buddy who I talked to last...Rin. We talked about how violent and cruel I can be to my characters (killing my main character once, torturing various ones, etc.) and how gentle and nice she is to hers.

Writing tip of the week...be willing to be mean to your characters. Also be nice when the occasion calls for it. I rewarded Elizabeth (poor lady; she was the one who got killed) with a chapter all about how nice and kind she was. She also got a cookie.

I'm feeling...pained. I burnt my finger earlier today while pouring hot water :(

Outside is...gray and wet.

Today I...went down to Washington, D.C. with Mom so she could pick up her Marine Corps Marathon bib. She's running it tomorrow!

I am hearing...Luthien watching some Veggie Tales episode in the family room, something breaking in the kitchen (yikes!) and Dad talking.

I am hoping...that I'll be able to write more often and better. I have two scripts due, not to mention my own book.

I'm looking forward to...Spanish class on Monday. I'll be able to ask Tatiana how the editing's going (I must admit, I have been bugging her some about it. I'll try not to be so pushy, Tan!)

I am glad that...I got to go outside in the woods today. Overcast sky, swollen creek, autumn colors in the leaves, and me combine for plenty of adventure...not to mention great pictures! I might post them on my blog.

What I'm currently working on writing-wise...nothing. Not enough time!
